Customer had a basement that was dark, dingy and had mildew stains from water damage. They wanted to create a space that was clean, bright, and inviting.
Gut it! Al's Home Improvements gutted the entire space, floor to ceiling. All the walls were Block Sealed with an Extreme Waterproofer, new vapor barriers, all new mold and mildew resistant drywall, all new electrical to bring the space up to current code, and reworked the plumbing that was in disrepair. Recessed lighting was installed to help maintain good head room, new bathroom fixtures (toilet, vanity, lighting), new kitchenete faucet, and a custom built solid oak mantle to make the fireplace "pop". It was a five week project, but in the end Al's Home Improvements was able to stay under budget and completely satisfy all of the customer's expectations and then some.
