Customer had a basic concrete and cinder block front entrance that was in really bad shape and quite unsafe. They really wanted something that would look good and they could put chairs on and enjoy the outdoors with family and friends.
A 20# sledge hammer and 30 minutes made the old porch disappear! The over-grown bushes were cut down and some hostas dug up to make the space needed for their new 6'x16' front porch. Posts were set, a new concrete landing was poured and in no time the porch was taking shape. Customer wanted materials that would not need much maintenance, so composite decking with vinyl railings were the obvious materials to choose. Now the customer has a space that is not only pleasing to the eye, but will also last far into the future.
